India, Oct. 26 -- Actor June Lockheart passed away of natural causes at her Santa Monica, California home on Saturday, October 23, a family spokesperson confirmed. Known for her iconic roles as Principal Cartwright in the film 'Lost In Space' (1998) and the 1950s TV show 'Lassie,' Lockheart lived to be 100 years old.
"She was very happy up until the very end, reading the New York Times and LA Times everyday," a statement from the spokesperson read. "It was very important to her to stay focused on the news of the day."
