New Delhi, July 13 -- The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students' union called an end to their 16-day hunger strike late on Friday night, following a meeting with the university's vice chancellor to discuss their demands.
JNUSU, through a statement, shared that the university administration has agreed to form a committee regarding the reinstatement of the JNU entrance exam (JNUEE), which had been one for the major demands of the protesting students. "In addition, it was agreed upon that candidates of the June 2025 NET cycle will be included in the ongoing admission cycle for PhD," JNUSU added in the statement.htc
