Srinagar, Sept. 25 -- Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that statehood was J&K's right and "people can't be punished just because BJP lost elections". Talking to reporters outside his private office in Srinagar, Abdullah said that statehood was the biggest challenge for the Jammu & Kashmir government. "Sometimes it looks like people of Jammu & Kashmir will not get statehood because the BJP lost the elections. This is an injustice because nowhere was it said that statehood will be restored only if the BJP wins," he said.
