India, Aug. 4 -- If you thought three Avatar films were plenty, James Cameron has other plans. The Oscar-winning director has confirmed he's ready to take on at least two more sequels, with Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 firmly in his sights. Speaking to Empire ahead of his 71st birthday, Cameron said, "I'm healthy, I'm good to go. I'm not going to rule it out... I might not be able to do that. [but] if I can, I'll just do it."

He acknowledged that directing these films will require energy and stamina over the next "six or seven years," but for now, the plan is to stay at the helm of the franchise he launched back in 2009.
