India, July 1 -- External affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar stated on Tuesday that the Pahalgam attack was an act of "economic warfare" against India. Speaking at an event during his US visit, the BJP leader added that the attack, which killed 26 people, was carried out with the objective of harming Kashmir's economy.

Jaishankar said that "we've also heard this for too long" that both India and Pakistan are nuclear countries and "therefore the other guy will come and do horrible things, but you mustn't do anything because it gets the world worried.
