Jamshedpur, March 3 -- A Jamshedpur court has acquitted three people with alleged links with terror organisation Al Qaeda, nine years after their arrest, as the prosecution failed to provide any evidence against them, people aware of the matter said on Sunday.

"The court of additional district judge Vimlesh Kumar Sahay on Friday acquitted Abdul Rahman Katki and Abdul Shami while the third accused Maulana Kalimuddin Mujahid got the benefit of being co-accused as the prosecution failed to produce any evidence against them on charges of their involvement in terrorist activities in Jamshedpur," Dilip Mahato, the lawyer representing Katki and Shami said.
