India, Sept. 18 -- A shooting incident was reported at the border crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan on Thursday, resulting in at least two casualties in the incident.

Israeli ambulance service said two people were seriously wounded, while the Israeli media reported that two alleged assailants were killed.

"Two men, approximately 20 and 60 years old, were critically injured and are unconscious following the attack at the Allenby crossing," the Magen David Adom emergency service said in a statement, according to AFP.

The attack took place at the Allenby Bridge, which is a crucial crossing for trade between Jordan and Israel.
