intensify s.i.r. outreach, Shah tells bjp leaders
New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- Union home minister Amit Shah on Friday directed the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) office bearers to amplify outreach on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, and simplify the process for the benefit of voters.
Addressing office bearers at the party headquarters in the national Capital, Shah said the party should document the genesis of the SIR and why it is necessary in the wake of the Opposition politicising the issue.
"He said the issue should be explained to the voters in simple, easy terms so that the false narrative created by the Opposition is countered," a party leader aware of the details said on anonymity.
