India, Dec. 2 -- Instagram has started testing a significant change that could reshape how users organise and share posts on the platform. The company is reportedly experimenting with a new limit that allows users to add only three hashtags to each post, marking a major shift from the long-standing practice that has been in place since 2011.
According to some Reddit users, some accounts now receive an error message when they try to add more than three hashtags to a new post. The restriction does not appear to affect all users. This uneven rollout suggests that Meta is testing the option with a select group of users before deciding whether to expand it platform-wide.
