Indians visiting Saudi need clearance for meds
New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday advised Indians travelling to Saudi Arabia to check the country's restricted medicines list after it introduced mandatory online clearance for carrying drugs.
"The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been informed that certain medicines that are legally available in India or other countries may be prohibited or subject to restrictions in the Kingdom. It has also been informed that carrying medicines in excess of prescribed limits may also attract regulatory action," the agency said in a statement.
