India, Jan. 6 -- Botswana is planning to launch a "golden passport" programme under which foreign nationals can get citizenship in the African country by making a one-time investment of up to $100,000, and Indians are among the top three applicants, FT reported. "Around 1,000 people have registered their interest to date, with applicants from the US, Zimbabwe and India in the top three," Armand Arton, chief executive of Arton Capital, a financial advisory firm marketing the scheme, told FT. Botswana is primarily known for its diamond wealth, rich biodiversity and wildlife.P15
