Kakarvitta (Nepal), Sept. 11 -- Several Indians in Nepal for work, medical care or travel scrambled to find a way out of the roiled nation on Wednesday, as protesters and angry citizens set fire to homes, vehicles and public infrastructure.
Samim Mallik, a Delhi resident, was fleeing Birtamod.
"I went to bring home my pregnant wife, who is from Nepal. As the situation worsened, I decided to return alone. I didn't want her to face any danger. Her parents tried to stop us, but some locals helped me," he said while on his way to Siliguri, West Bengal.P10
