India, Aug. 13 -- The Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Wednesday.
An exchange of fire was ongoing on Wednesday morning, officials said, adding that further details are awaited.
Officials said the troops foiled the infiltration bid in Churunda area of Uri in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, according to a PTI news agency report.
This comes a day after another soldier, Sepoy Banoth Anil Kumar, died while on operational duty along the Line of Control in Baramulla district.
