India, May 14 -- Gaurav Jaisingh, a bright and ambitious 21-year-old Indian-American student, died just one week before graduation after falling from a hotel balcony during a senior class trip to the Bahamas.

His sudden passing pokes the memory of One Direction star Liam Payne, who also died due to "multiple trauma" and "internal and external haemorrhage" following a balcony fall while on vacation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Gaurav's accident took place at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort and Casino around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
