India, Jan. 8 -- US dominance of critical defence technologies is not assured, and India is emerging as a major defence innovation partner for Washington, said Raj Shah, Managing Partner at Silicon Valley-based national security VC firm Shield Capital, in an interview with HT. Shah, who previously headed the Pentagon's elite Defence Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx), said platforms like INDUS-X have helped both countries. Advanced tech like space, undersea systems, artificial intelligence, and cyber defence will decide the future of warfare, Shah argued. While America has a strong position in these technologies vis-a-vis China, Shah added it must work with allies globally to operationalise technologies quickly. Edited excerpts:
