NEW DELHI, Oct. 10 -- The Indian badminton team beat South Korea 2-1 in the quarter-finals to assure themselves of their first medal at the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships at the National Centre of Excellence in Guwahati on Thursday. In a clash that lasted almost three hours, the hosts overcame South Korea 44-45, 45-30, 45-33 to set up a semi-final clash against Asian U-19 Mixed Team champions Indonesia, who defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 (45-35, 45-35) in the other quarter-final. After losing the first set, India fought back to draw level, easily winning the second set.
