India, Canada to bolster security, economic ties
Toronto, Oct. 2 -- Canada's minister of foreign affairs Anita Anand said after her meeting with external affairs minister S Jaishankar on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York that both sides "agreed to advance shared priorities".
A statement issued on Tuesday by Global Affairs Canada, the country's foreign ministry, said the ministers "agreed to advance shared priorities, including economic prosperity, security and global governance".
The two leaders "discussed strengthening Canada and India's bilateral ties" building on the "productive discussions" between Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and PM Narendra Modi at the G7 leaders' summit in Kananaskis in June.
