India, Oman likely to sign CEPA next week
New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- India and Oman are expected to conclude a long-gestating comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the West Asian country next week to bolster trade, including in hydrocarbons, people familiar with the matter said.
The two sides launched negotiations for the CEPA in November 2023 though differences on petrochemicals and refining had held up the finalisation of the trade deal after the two sides had reached an agreement on the text and market access offers last year, the people familiar with the discussions said on condition of anonymity.
