iit kanpur staff member dies by suicide: police
Kanpur, Feb. 15 -- A 28-year-old employee at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur on Saturday died by suicide inside the campus accommodation allegedly after an argument with her fiance on the phone, police said.
According to police, the deceased, a resident of Jharkhand's Jadugoda, was living in Kanpur for the last three years.
During the call, she is said to have told him she would end her life before disconnecting, they said. After her room's door was forced open, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, they said.
