India, June 16 -- LUCKNOW Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) has been ranked 19th among the top central universities in India, while the University of Lucknow secured the 5th position nationally in the category of state universities located in urban regions, according to the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2025.

"We are immensely proud to be ranked among the top central universities in India by the IIRF," said prof Raj Kumar Mittal, vice-chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University in a press release on Sunday.
