India, March 28 -- In a major change to its examination system, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has decided to conduct the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Final examination thrice a year, offering students more opportunities.

Last year, ICAI announced that the CA Intermediate and Foundation examinations three times a year. With the institute's latest decision, all three levels - CA Final, Inter and Foundation - will now have an equal number of attempts each year.
ICAI said these exams will be held in January, May, and September.
