LUCKNOW, March 20 -- Seven police personnel, including the inspector in-charge of Alambagh, were suspended on Thursday after a 32-year-old woman was murdered following her alleged abduction from Alambagh bus stand. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning, and the police are yet to trace the perpetrators.

"Considering the seriousness of the case, seven police personnel, including the inspector in-charge of Alambagh, outpost in-charge Alambagh bus stand, night officer Alambagh, two policemen on bus stand duty, police response vehicle commander, and a constable, have been suspended with immediate effect," said Lucknow police commissioner Amrendra K Sengar in a statement.
