Lucknow, Jan. 10 -- Way back in 2013, the Uttar Pradesh IAS Association had passed a resolution promising to hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Civil Service Week every year but it has not been able to conduct either of these two events since 2019 for a variety of reasons. The resolution of January 19, 2013 had come after a five-year stretch from 2007 to 2012 when the twin programmes could not be organised.

Following the resolution, the AGM and the Civil Service Week were held in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and in 2019. The resolution was passed to serve as a reminder to the association's members to ensure that such a situation (failure to hold civil service week) did not arise again.
