India, Feb. 11 -- Bangladesh will allow postal voting for the first time in its history in the February 12 national election. The Election Commission (EC) announced the move last month as part of efforts to expand voter participation.
The Commission has begun coordination with international postal agencies to ensure that ballot papers from both domestic and overseas voters reach Bangladesh in time for counting.
The postal voting system will operate through a dedicated digital platform known as the Postal Vote BD App. The app has been developed to simplify voter registration and verification.
