Shimla, Oct. 10 -- In wake of "extensive damage to both private and government properties in the districts" as well as roads, Himachal Pradesh government has written to state election commission to postpone the panchayat and local bodies elections in the state.
This comes after the deputy commissioners of few districts wrote to secretary, panchayati raj, seeking postponement of elections citing "extensive damage to both private and government properties in the district" as well as roads during monsoons.
