Dharamshala, Feb. 21 -- A woman, allegedly set ablaze by her husband in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, died at PGIMER on Friday while undergoing treatment, police officials said.

However, in her statement before the judicial magistrate, the victim held herself responsible for the incident. The incident occurred on February 12 at Suploh village of Mandi, following which the police had registered a case and arrested her husband, Thakur Das, who is in judicial custody at present.

The victim was first brought to the zonal hospital in Mandi and later shifted to Nerchowk Medical College. She was subsequently referred to PGIMER Chandigarh, for further treatment.
