Lucknow, Dec. 31 -- : The Union government's decision to increase the reward under the Rahveer Yojana fivefold, from Rs.5,000 to Rs.25,000, is expected to strongly motivate citizens to help road accident victims during the critical "golden hour", transport officials said on Wednesday. The reward will be widely promoted during Road Safety Month, which will be observed from January 1, 2026, officials of the Lucknow Divisional Transport Office (DTO) said.
