Gurugram, May 9 -- The Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) pulled up the Gurugram district administration for failing to identify land for building an integrated complex for children in need of care and protection, even after seven years of repeated directives. The complex is mandated under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, which requires distinct facilities for observation homes, special homes, places of safety, and children's homes. The Commission, in a suo motu 2018 case, reviewed construction status of such facilities across Hisar, Sonipat, Ambala, and Gurugram.
