Lucknow, June 5 -- The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has held that the right to freedom of speech does not extend to making defamatory statements against the Indian Army and dismissed a petition filed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi challenging summons by a local court in a case related to his alleged remarks on the army during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in 2022. Rejecting the petition, the bench on June 2 passed the order, which was made public on Wednesday. P12
