New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- The Delhi high court on Monday sought Delhi police's response in a bail plea filed by Lalit Jha, an accused in the December 2023 Parliament security breach case. A bench of justices Vivek Chaudhary and Manoj Jain issued the notice and fixed October 8 as the next date of hearing, when the court will also chair the bail pleas of the other co-accused, including Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D. On December 13, 2023, accused Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D allegedly jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber, released yellow gas from canisters and sloganeered before they were overpowered by some MPs.
