India, May 18 -- The Bombay high court earlier this month questioned the maintainability of the fresh bail application filed on June 10, 2024, by former Delhi University (DU) professor Hany Babu, an accused in the Bhima Koregaon violence case. Babu's plea had challenged the 2022 order passed by the NIA (National Investigation Agency) court denying him bail as well as the 2022 judgment passed by the high court, which dismissed his plea against the NIA order.
