New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- The Delhi high court on Thursday quashed the Union government's decision to suspend business dealings with Defsys Solutions Private Limited, a firm involved in supplying defence equipment to the armed forces, over its alleged role in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case, describing the move as a "gross abuse of process".
A bench of justices Navin Chawla and Madhu Jain delivered the verdict while dealing with Defsys's petition, challenging the government's orders to suspend dealings with the defence firm.
The company argued it had been a regular supplier since 2007, but the Centre first suspended its business dealings for one year in December 2022, and again on January 5, 2024.
