India, Feb. 11 -- The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Birju Kishore Kumar Salla, who was arrested for allegedly cheating another jeweller of Rs.12.76 crore by purchasing antique gold ornaments, silver utensils and precious gems, and not paying for the same.

Salla was arrested by the LT Marg police on June 10, 2025, following a complaint filed by jeweller Shailesh Jain. Both the complainant's shop and a jewellery store owned by Salla's father are located in the same building.

According to the police, the case dates back to November 18, 2024, when Salla approached Jain seeking antique jewellery and silver articles for sale on approval. Subsequently, Jain handed over antique gold ornaments, silver utensils and gems, worth Rs.14 crore...
