New Delhi, March 29 -- The Delhi high court on Friday granted 10-day interim bail to Mohammed Saleem Khan, an accused in the 2020 Delhi riots larger conspiracy case, for arranging funds to pay his daughter's school fees.

Khan, 47, was arrested in June 2020 and booked under the stringent anti-terror law UAPA in connection to the deadly February 2020 riots in northeast Delhi. A bench of justices Navin Chawla and Shailender Kaur ordered Khan's release subject to furnishing one surety and a personal bond of Rs.20,000. The court, while passing the order, took note of Khan's period of custody and previous orders releasing him on interim bail four times in 2023 and 2024.
