New Delhi, July 18 -- The Delhi high court on Thursday quashed 16 cases registered against 70 people, accused of providing shelter to the attendees of a Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin in March 2020 during the Covid-19 outbreak, "Chargesheets quashed," justice Neena Bansal Krishna said. The Delhi police had initially charged the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including criminal conspiracy, Epidemic Diseases Act, the Disaster Management Act and Foreigners Act.
