HC bench stays order seeking womaN's return from PAKistan
JAMMU, July 3 -- A division bench of the Jammu and Kashmir high court headed by chief justice Arun Palli, on Wednesday, issued an interim order staying a repatriation order passed by a single judge bench on June 6 pertaining to a 63-year-old woman, Rakshanda Rashid. Originally from Lahore in Pakistan, Rashid, married a Jammu-based man 38 years ago and had been living here since then. She was deported to Pakistan on April 30 following India's punitive measures in the aftermath of April 22 Pahalgam attack.
