New Delhi, March 13 -- The Delhi high court has awarded Rs.3.34 crore as damages to healthcare giant Johnson and Johnson (J&J) in a trademark infringement suit filed by the former against two people for selling counterfeit surgical devices and medical products under its mark SURGICEL, ETHICON; asserting that their conduct posed a severe risk to public health and safety.
In his verdict delivered on Tuesday, a bench of justice Amit Bansal underscored the impact of selling counterfeit products on the lives of the people.
