New Delhi, March 13 -- The Delhi high court has asked the Delhi Police whether any Artificial Intelligence (AI) software was available for checking the whereabouts of individuals who went missing owing to various reasons, including medical conditions and mental health issues.
Dealing with a plea filed by the son of a man who went missing two years ago, a bench of justices Prathiba M Singh and Dharmesh Sharma in its February 17 order, released only recently, directed the police to file an affidavit and fixed March 18 as the next date of hearing.
The Delhi Police, represented by standing counsel Sanjay Lao, said the crime branch usually possesses such AI software.
