New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- The Delhi high court on Tuesday underscored the historical and commercial significance of Chandni Chowk, terming it as "Delhi's pride" and noting the urgent need for better maintenance of the area.

The court said it wanted to put together a high-level committee with top officials from many departments, such as the Public Works Department (PWD), the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and the Delhi Police, to make a detailed maintenance plan.
