New Delhi, March 6 -- Congress MLAs of Haryana on Wednesday demanded that the party brass must constitute the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) as the budget session of the state assembly will start this week. The Congress high command has so far not constituted any CLP nor has it appointed the Leader of Opposition.

The demand from the 37 MLAs was raised during a meeting of the steering committee of the Haryana Congress at Indira Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the preparations for the party's ambitious "Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan" rally, organising workshops at state and district levels, and to define the roles of the frontal organisations to reach out to various social groups.
