Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana put their best foot forward, stitching a 125-run stand for the third wicket, putting India in firm control of the 289-run chase. However, the wickets of the two senior batters changed the complexion of the game, and in the end, India choked, losing the match and putting itself in a must-win territory against New Zealand.
