Ghaziabad, Jan. 1 -- Work on the proposed 55,000-seat international cricket stadium near Raj Nagar Extension is likely to accelerate in 2026, GDA officials said Wednesday. Land issues are being resolved, and FAR is no longer a hurdle, officials said.
"The issue of the requirement of the FAR is no longer a hurdle, as the existing amended building bylaws allow for 0.4 FAR for green and recreational green land use," said GDA secretary Vivek Mishra. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association convener Rakesh Mishra confirmed, "Our FAR requirement is getting fulfilled. the project will now be fast-paced."
