Gyanesh kumar takes over as chief election commissioner

New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- First step for nation building is voting, new chief election commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar said on Wednesday as he took over as the 26th head of the poll body, while Vivek Joshi and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu assumed charge as election commissioners. In his message to voters after assuming charge, Kumar said, "First step for nation building is voting. Therefore, every citizen of India who has completed 18 years of age should become an elector and should always vote."P9
