New Delhi, Jan. 7 -- Growth in India's services sector moderated in December as softer expansion in new business weighed on output growth towards the end of 2025, according to a release from S&P Global on Tuesday. The seasonally adjusted HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index fell to 58.0 in December from 59.8 in November, marking the slowest pace of expansion since January, though still indicating a strong rise in activity.

The index has now remained above the 50-mark, which separates growth from contraction, for more than four years.
