India, Sept. 17 -- The US Citizenship and Immigration Services will not issue more green cards for the rest of fiscal year (FY) 2025 in the Employment-Based Fifth Preference (EB-5) unreserved visa category. The mentioned category has reached its annual limit, the US Department of State announced on September 16. Here is all you should know about the freeze on green cards.
According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the EB-5 Program was launched in 1990 to strengthen the US economy "through job creation and capital investment by foreign investors."
