GREATER NOIDA, Aug. 24 -- A 28-year-old woman died after being set ablaze allegedly by her husband and in-laws in Greater Noida over dowry demands, police said on Saturday. Her husband, Vipin Bhati, 28, has been arrested, while his father Satyaveer Bhati and brother Rohit Bhati are on the run. The incident took place on August 21 in Sirsa village under Kasna police station limits.
Police said the victim was doused with an inflammable liquid and set on fire after years of harassment for not meeting a Rs.35 lakh dowry demand. She succumbed to her injuries while being shifted from Fortis Hospital, Noida, to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. P5
