Govt will seek tech ideas from start-ups, people on pollution
New Delhi, May 2 -- New DelhiThe Delhi government on Thursday announced an open innovation challenge aimed at curbing air pollution by inviting ideas for pollution-control devices that can be mounted on public transport vehicles.
Environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the initiative seeks to transform a major source of pollution - transportation - into part of the solution. "We aim to turn public transport, often seen as a polluter, into a tool for cleaner air," he said.
