Panaji, Jan. 3 -- A popular temple festival in Goa will be will be without gobi manchurian and chicken tandoori after the temple committee on Friday announced that they would not permit stalls selling the dishes during the event, citing concerns over lack of hygiene and the use of unauthorised food colours. The decision mirrors a similar move taken last year during the Bodgeshwar temple zatra (annual fair) in North Goa's Mapusa, but is broadened to include chicken grill counters, especially vendors who string chicken pieces and grill them over live coals.
