India, Dec. 7 -- In a big action after a massive fire in a Goa nightclub killed 25 people, the chief general manager and three other staff members have been arrested in connection with blaze, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said.

The action follows an FIR that was registered against the owners of the nightclub. Earlier in the day, the Goa police registered an FIR against two owners of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa.

The state government has also formed a committee to inquire into the fire tragedy, PTI reported, adding that a report will be submitted within a week.
