India, Dec. 10 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) received a communication from the government of Goa with regard to Gaurav Luthra and Saurabh Luthra - owners of the Goa nightclub where fire killed 25 on weekend - over revoking their passports, people familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
It is examining the request to revoke the passports under the Passports Act of India, as per extant rules, the above-mentioned people said.
Authorities are on the hunt for the Luthra brothers - who police say flew out of the country shortly after the fire broke out at Birch by Romeo Lane in Goa's Arpora in the late hours of Saturday - after the deadly blaze led to discovery of safety norm violations and even illegal construction.
